After a wrenching hour long experience on the West Shore bypass between Exeter and I-176 yesterday, I finally battled my way to Iron Horse and picked up the 5212. Looks good however I haven't had chance to put power to the wheels yet. Tonight for sure.

I understand Iron Horse has more on hand, but did not receive his complete order yet.

I got the call from G&K Thursday morning. Waited till the afternoon until the roads cleared and ventured into Reading and picked up both units. Got home, went out to the barn and put #5212 on the test track. Hit F8 for the startup, and was treated to the glorious sound of an Alco air starter. Engine sounds, bell and horn are all great (though need to be tweaked a bit for volume).

Detailing is up to the usual Bowser Exec Line - didn't go over it with a fine tooth comb but looks great at first glance. Will see if I can get some photos posted over the weekend.

I wouldn’t panic about MB Klein’s “out of stock” situation, these just hit the retailer shelves and are turning into another hit for Bowser. That said, I’m sure Klein will stock more in January.

For those that want to see some nice photos of the Bowser model (although decorated in PC), check out this thread on the Atlas Rescue Forum:

C430s are out!
