A question was asked on the Anthracite Railroad list about the number series for these models. The model is of an early, steel gondola imported around the mid-60's. An issue of the Bee Line has a photo of one in a train at West Falls but have not succeeded in locating it. Thank you, Evan

Any pictures of the model? That may help zero in on what we are looking for.

The Samhongsa model of this car can be viewed at Brass Trains, unfortunately this item has sold and the detail photos are no longer available. Road numbers in the 21XXX series keeps coming to mind, but I no longer trust my memory.

Evan, that looks like it would be a GMl. If memory serves these were USRA "clones" as there built in the 1920's. As for decorating we modelers are lucky as Jerry Glow does 3 decals sets for these, pic 1. I also posted a print of these with some useful data, revised 9/49, and even a detail print of this class's twin the GMk for those modified to carry chrome ore. There are a few other posts buried in the forum here on these gons as Walthers did a few runs. Lastly, here is one dumped in the Schuylkill after hurricane Diane numbered in MOW service, note the brake detail which differed from RTR models, Bill.

"LNE BILL", Viola! That is it; the drawing with the revision notices showing the car numbers is the cat's meow. Still looking through the Bee Lines for the photo of this car with the underlined road name. Assumed the Walthers offering was a generic car labeled for whatever road name would sell. The view of the overturned car is a nice find.
Thanks again, appreciate your effort.
