Thanks, guys! It means a lot coming from all of you! Barry, I too wish that I were closer and could host a tour. Maybe when I retire (whenever that will be) ....

Robin,
Looks very Reading with the colors and paint schemes on the station, Frieght house and tool shed. Very nice work.

Thanks, Chris! What's kind of funny is that the color scheme isn't consistent. I had originally painted my RDG structures with Floquil Depot Buff and Roof Brown. At Tom Jacobs' suggestion I've been using Testors Model Master Random Tan instead of buff. Now the buildings at Moyers and Stover's Mill are the lighter (and more accurate?) color, while Lenape station and water tank are still buff. To me each scheme looks close but not quite perfect, yet I'm satisfied with the appearance of both.

Robin,

Here is a photo of my Willow and Noble St Yard Office. I have a few details to add. It is Model Master Radom Tan and Model Master Leather color scheme. Single coat over a formerly reddish brown paint. Color depends on light, surface color before painting, and the age you are trying to present. By the 1970's much of the Reading infrastructure was poorly maintained and weathered as this is portrayed to be. The building is the new Woodland Scenics "shed" and I have added their Outside light and an LED inside. This is HO scale.
At first I thought the brown was too red but after it dried it looks better.

Aside from the fact that the layout and buildings look wonderful, I think a little variation in paint colour is probably appropriate. All paint fades with time, so a darker hue might just indicate it has recently been repainted.

The yard office looks great, Chris! I purchased MM leather too (again at Tom's recommendation) but haven't used it yet. The combination does look good. As I recall, RDG building brown sometimes faded with a red tint, so even if there is a red cast to the leather paint, it's appropriate.
