What's the difference between a GP40-2 and GP39-2? What year did the Reading dieselize? How many tracks were in Rutherford Yard? This board focuses on a discussion of questions or issues concerning the "prototype" Reading Company and its predecessors. While the aim of this board is to serve as a resource for prototype information for modeling purposes, general discussion and sharing of knowledge is also encouraged.

Is there anyone on this List who grew up in or frequented the railroad scene in this town during the years 1950 - 1960? I am looking for information as to the names and physical details of the active rail served business. Thank you, Evan This email address is being protected from spambots. As a start, you might reference the Reading Company 1954 Freight Shippers’ Guide under Articles on this website

Thank you John, I have already studied the guide. What I am looking for is specific details of the businesses for modeling purposes. Historical societies haven't yielded the sought after photos showing these businesses.
