What's the difference between a GP40-2 and GP39-2? What year did the Reading dieselize? How many tracks were in Rutherford Yard? This board focuses on a discussion of questions or issues concerning the "prototype" Reading Company and its predecessors. While the aim of this board is to serve as a resource for prototype information for modeling purposes, general discussion and sharing of knowledge is also encouraged.

Dedicated reefers for Reading Brewing. First arch-roofed P&R cars I can recall seeing a pic of. Location is south 9th and east laurel sts. In Reading alongside the main brewery building. Siding was a convoluted S-turn squeezed in between a couple other buildings along South ninth.

Moving the clock ahead roughly 40 years, since my last post here, a GMl gondola, was moving some military equipment. There was a bunch of neat railroad loads posted on WW2 Radio Facebook page recently felt this one was worth sharing, enjoy!
