Have a great vacation, Barry. Here's a great book about Key West, as well as the construction and destruction of Flagler's railroad: www.amazon.com/Last-Train-Paradise-Spect...st+train+to+paradise. Caution: this is not a rail fan book per se -- no train pictures, equipment details, etc. It is great reading, if you enjoy railroad history and/or storm stories. I read it on the beach in St. Thomas a couple of years ago, hoping no tropical storms were coming our way.

HI Rob and Robin...
yes, the display at the Wilderness Lodge is very nice. I have pictures of it from previous trips as well (will have to dig those up).

No one guessed... it is part of the billboard at the entrance to Hollywood Studios park!

Thanks Robin for the book tip/link.

Pretty wore out and heading to bed - will post another pic in the morning! Stay tuned....
Thanks,
Barry

Although we've been fortunate to do a lot of traveling in recent years, I've only been to Disney (and Florida) once, and that was in 1994. Hollywood Studios was still called Disney - MGM and had opened the previous year (I think). I did figure out the PE ad (it was from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" wasn't it?), but I couldn't remember the "new" name of the theme park.

BTW, we did the railfan's dream vacation last fall. After a trip to the Grand Canyon (we didn't ride the train there), we went to Colorado and took the Durango and Silverton and the Cumbres and Toltec on consecutive days. We followed that up with a trip to Denver, where I got to visit Caboose Hobbies, and rode the train around the Georgetown Loop. Even my wife and the couple whom we often travel with, none of whom are real railfans, enjoyed the trip immensely.

PS: Is your last post an advert for Disney's monorail, Barry?

I knew the one from the other day but figured I'd let some other people answer, anyway today it looks like you are at the Ticket and Transportation Center.

Robin - so close... but Rob hit it right on again. Ticket and Transportation is where you go to the Magic Kingdom by either the monorail or a (yawn!!) boat. That was part of the sign.

OK, one more and something I didn't even know was there...
where am I??
