OK, here's a new item for you...
where did you find a tie to Reading or the Reading Railroad in an unusual place?

My first entry is in Toledo, Ohio. Attended the recent regional convention in Toledo. Went to lunch at Uncle John's Pancake House down the street from the hotel, with some friends. Looking through the sandwiches on the menu and found this.....

so I just HAD to have one (minus onions, sorry)
Thanks,
Barry

Not sure if this is the kind of material you are thinking of, however...

Back few years ago I had to transfer a company vehicle from Las Vegas to Houston, by driving it there. As I was heading east on I-10, somewhere west of Houston yet, I glanced to the left and saw a Reading Trailer sitting beside a garage and two other trailers. No at 70 plus mph, after driving about 6 hours in a straight line, the odds of seeing that tucked in were pretty much slim to none. However definitely surprised to see a Reading diamond in Texas, in 2007 or so, was quite the surprise to me.

Nice story Rob and yes, sharing anything Reading that is "out of place" or unusual is the reason for this topic.

I don't have a picture, (maybe next week) but there is a new pizzaria only 3 miles from my house - Tony Sacco's COAL fired pizza. We had our camaro club meeting there and it was good pizza, flat crust. Went over to the "kitchen" area to check out the coal furnace and their claim to using anthricite. I was really wondering if it would smell like a steam engine?? Unfortunetely, it did not. But they did have a bucket of coal there and there was coal in the furnace, nice and hot! They also had some pictures/maps on the walls for decoration... one was almost a Reading system map! I plan on copying a Reading anthricate herald and framing it for them.
Thanks,
Barry
