Came across this announcement while reading the latest posts over on the rypn.org forum. Apparently Norfolk Southern is auctioning one of their remaining ex-Reading SW1001 switchers. See link (listed towards bottom).

Any members of the RCTHS know if the group is planning to make an offer?

Judging by the photos, it looks like the unit is in pretty good condition.

Oh My Oh My! NS is auctioning off the 2101!!! (LOL)

Look at all those Hi hood GP38-2's on the list.
N&W - SOU fans should be looking at them.....

PS - I know. I know, It's not THE 2101.

Is this the 2601? Assuming the numbers carried 2601-9401-2101, off the top of my head. I stopped memorizing this stuff when I started forgetting my kids names, but remembered loco numbers. I believe CR made the 2625 - 9400, and the rest carried through with the original last number. Not sure what happened with numbering during the CSX/NS shared or divided assets.

I hit add file, then hit insert. I do preview and it shows them as attachments. but when I hit submit, they do not show up. I've posted from my phone before with no problem. Butch Curll
