Volume 1: Steam and First Generation Diesels. Received this book from Morning Sun last week. Having all the of their Reading color books and several other Reading locomotive books, this book is a very welcomed addition. Approximately a fifth of the photos are familiar having been in print before, the rest are new to me. Both the transition era historian and the modeler will find the photos interesting. There are a few very minor caption "bumps" but nothing a student of the Reading will not immediately recognize. Photos are very sharp and clear - a boon for the detail hounds. In short, this book is worth every penny, and then some.
