Great work! I like you you make your sand boxes and steam domes. How do you make the sand box fill lids?

Those are just circles cut from .010 styrene and glued in place. I normally don't measure them, just eyeball it.

Thank you for the info. As for making disks, I had seen an article about using a set of dividers to scribe a circle and continue to go round and round until you cut the disk out. Casey, how do you cut your disks for smokebox front pieces and to cap domes?

A lot of it is by eye for me. Having an illustration background I use a method from that to get my basic shape. If I have a width measurement draw a square to the measurement and draw 2 lines at the centers to divide it into 4 sections and connect the ends of the lines with the quarter curve. Then I cut a basic shape based on what was drawn, and eyeball sand until round.
