The decals I had made for my Train Master and SW1 were a little off. So I had my friend John Hall aka Mr Reading (even though he is modeling Ma & Pa now) send me this GP lettering diagram.

While not a Train Master or SW1 I say good enough, as did John. We think the "Reading" lettering was the same throughout.

The lettering sizes, spacing and colors are a match to the RS-3 diagram I have. So your assumption that its the same for all road switchers and switchers sounds right. Perhaps Bob Gottschall has a diagram for Trainmasters.

I posted the same lettering drawing to the Reading Facebook group. Bob commented but did not elaborate if he had any other lettering drawings. Until I see different (and I WON'T) that is the size for the Reading lettering for me.

Posting a large size file here yesterday (6MB?) proved to be rather difficult. That is why there was multiple postings that were deleted. I almost gave up. I had to host the file on my domain and link it here.

I find the placement of the Reading lettering on the Train Master to be very odd. It is very low on the carbody and obscured by the handrails. You would think it would be higher than the handrails.

Bill:

My RS-3 diagram shows the "R E A D I N G" 3'-8" above the frame/walkway. Measuring the lettering on my Atlas Trainmaster I get 3'-8" above the frame, definitely below the railings.
