You guys just cant away from me and this project. This has been an aspiration for about 3 years now, and I still need help figuring out how to build it...Huge thanks to John Caples and his assistance via e-mail correspondence last year, and rdg-barry for letting me borrow his bee line magazines for about a year (they are on their way back as we speak, barry. thanks again). The article on the tank cars was an immense help. So I pinpointed which body style I needed, the roadnumber, and all the beautiful photos of every angle-but the top. I have no idea how the heck I am supposed to mount the roofwalk in relation to the water fill lid. I know where the lid is, and I have it ready to apply, but I only have one shot of the front of the tank with the roofwalk, and thats it. So here is what i have built so far, and it's pretty darn accurate for what I can see. I just need the capability to finish it so I can move on to the other oddity cars in the wreck train. Any help is SUPER appreciated!!!

Sorry! Roadnumber is 90691.

There are a few pictures of 90811 that i have that show the roofwalk going directly over the lid, but can't tell if it's directly in the center, if it's bracketed somehow, or...?

Also, in case anyone brings it up, any recent pictures of this tank have the roofwalk removed, so don't even try to tell me it didn't have one to begin with :silly:

The aux tender had a roof walk. It was pretty much a slightly elevated, grated walkway. It looked almost like a boxcar walkway, which would be pretty close if you were to use that :D

Looks like solid walkway with a split hatch, I suspected this but this is proof.

If the attachment didn't work I stumbled on a top shot in random youtube watching.

Right at 4:17, I have been trying to find this myself I have thinking about doing one for my I-10.

Check out the December photo in the year 2000 of the RCT&HS calender (I-10 #2000 go figure). The 3/4 shot is slightly elevated, maybe a good scan and zoom could be of value.
