Having grown up with the Reading & Columbia branch as my first knowledge of the Reading, I have become rather fond of your modeling. Thank you for sharing this with us. Evan

Here’s a 15”x48” micro layout that I’ve been working on. The RS3 is kind of large for it, but it looks nice. I usually operate it with Walthers’ wonderful Plymouth ML-8. The layout represents a small piece of a PA farmers’ shortline, much like the Stewartstown or the Strasburg before they hauled tourists.

Like the micro layout... inspires me to tear down my photo diorama and start anew

Thanks, Chris. It’s been fun. What’s nice too is that I can unplug the NCE Power Cab from the layout in the basement and plug it into the micro.

Did You Know?

October, 1962
Loss of mail and Railway Express Agency contracts prompts severe cuts in passenger service, including annulment of all service to Shamokin, and the Allentown-Harrisburg trains, and a reduction on remaining routes. RDCs replace most locomotive-hauled trains, freeing former passenger locomotives for freight service.
