When comparing the junctions signaling to the trackage, found a Robert Wanner photo noting "...after the 1957 plant upgrade..." Recall, if memory serves, that when built, the Belt Line was double track trough the junction with a coal storage siding on the south side and one or two coal storage sidings (siding and a spur?) on the north side. Need to find the track layout as of 1953. Thank you Evan.

Out of frustration, starting with the oldest issue of the RCT&HS's Bee Line magazine, perused each issue finding long forgotten articles. Result is that in 1953 No. 1 and No. 2 tracks were continuous through the junction. No. 1 track and a siding were both used for coal storage on the north side of the junction. The most revealing and helpful find was Mr. Wanner's history of the Belt Line. Bee Line issues: Vol. 16, No.1 1994 The Reading Belt Railroad by Robert Wanner; Vol. 16, No. 2 cover photo; Vol. 20, No. 1 1998 wreck of X253 at the Penn Ave. bridge, West Reading; Vol. 21 No. 4 1999 wreck of T-1 2105 at Valley Jct. All my questions have been answered, and the bench work constructions resumes tomorrow, with a few minor changes.
