What's the difference between a GP40-2 and GP39-2? What year did the Reading dieselize? How many tracks were in Rutherford Yard? This board focuses on a discussion of questions or issues concerning the "prototype" Reading Company and its predecessors. While the aim of this board is to serve as a resource for prototype information for modeling purposes, general discussion and sharing of knowledge is also encouraged.

TOPIC: Ed Wiswesser's RDG loco and car dwgs - the list

Ed Wiswesser's RDG loco and car dwgs - the list 11 years 2 months ago #278

Thank you for re-posting this information. I suppose sending a snail mail order with an enclosed check would be an equally effective mode to place an order.

I gather these are very large-format blueprints since they are from a Diazit machine.

Does this pose any mailing/shipping problem?

Turboboost910,

I can help you out. You can either highlight the items you want and scan and send me a copy of the marked-up list, or you can just send me a list of numbers. The former is probably better as it would minimize errors.

I'll call him to place the order and follow up with a letter. I'm going to order a few of the maps, so I'll just combine things in one order. I can pay when I pick them up.

George,

Some of the drawings are large. I think he folds them if he mails them.

I should note that some of the drawings have some splotches and other artifacts. Some aren't perfect, but they are definitely worth buying. Mr. Wiswesser put a lot of time into these.

Remotely on topic: eBay offered a copy of Steam Locomotives of the Reading and P&R Railroads. I pulled out my PayPal "just to clean it and it went off!" It will be fun to see what drawings are included when the book arrives in a week or so.

Back on topic: Is the pack of 30 drawings still available?
What was included in that?
Was that the drawings from the book by any chance?
