What's the difference between a GP40-2 and GP39-2? What year did the Reading dieselize? How many tracks were in Rutherford Yard? This board focuses on a discussion of questions or issues concerning the "prototype" Reading Company and its predecessors. While the aim of this board is to serve as a resource for prototype information for modeling purposes, general discussion and sharing of knowledge is also encouraged.

Friends,

I am looking for photos of this Reading Tank car. I see the data for it in the Non revenue list in the articles segment of this site.... but a photo would seal up the details.

Thanks
Rob

(BTW - I am not holding my breath LOL)

Rob,

I don't have the said car you're looking for, but it is a TMd. With that said maybe these two pictures of this class may help. Enjoy!

Thanks Bill.
Looking at the Non-revenue roster included on this site. My next target was to going to be to duplicate the average TMd, most of which were built on GAb Gons.

My current project is the 91200 "Steam Power Car." Inspired by a recent photo of the car in the Long Island RR paint scheme. I dug out a Bethlehem Car Works BAa baggage car and then dug out the Bee Line article from the way back machine and noted that in the article the car was to be stationed at Huntingdon Street coach yard with the 90961 for water supply. Hence my request.

I model early fall 1974. The 92100 and surely the 90961 were long gone, except I have altered history. I maintain the heritage Steam fleet that existed in 1962 and added a few (N-1 #1814, G-1sas #117 and the CNJ Camelback)so I have no issues adding any other "extra" stuff.

Initially I thought of painting it in the green & yellow relief train scheme, but then decided to keep it original (red) in case I ever decided to back date even further. A work ion progress.

With the exception of the relief trains, I suspect that these were all gone form the roster by 1967. In front of the combine (Coatesville) engine facility, is the typical green tank car with yellow lettering from the 1970's.
