Former Reading GP35 no. 3641 was at the scene of the commuter train crash in Connecticut today to aide in the movement of cars. The unit can be seen in the report that aired on NBC nightly news this evening (at approx. 44 second and again at 1 minute into the video). The locomotive is now part of Metro North Commuter Railway as GP35R no. 101, but those distinctive rain gutters show her Reading heritage. It’s a shame that this spotting wasn’t under much better circumstances. :(
