Has anyone checked these out? I have not seen any builder's phase info on these. I do not know if they have actually hit the market yet either, just saw an ad and it doesn't say. (not a big MTH fan here - but I don't see KATO making big advancements in dcc/sound. I would like to switch up my GP-35 fleet with out getting out the grinders.
I know - Patience is a virtue. I am still reeling in the C-630 / GP-7 / C-430 acquisitions....... I don't need to get hit with GP-35's too..... c'mon lottery numbers.....

Seen a couple out of the box and on the shelf at the local shop...they look pretty good. They appear to be phase II units.Have not seen them run in person only video.
I considered getting one for stripping and repainting into RDG,but had that gut feeling not to purchase. Some personal reviews I'd seen made me steer away.
In the past I was in contact with Atlas requesting 35's since Kato stopped producing the model.Always received good feed back from them that a ho 35 made good sense because we produce the unit in n and o scales.Of course,it never happened.
Right now on Athearn's FB there are a lot of requests for them to upgrade their gp35 to their Genesis offerings...quite a few requests for RDG units also.I have three of their rtr 35's...not a fan.
So I'm going to remain patient too...hoping a nice Genesis model appears in RDG colors and/or undecorated.
