TOPIC: Back in the modelling saddle again-visit with Rob

Back in the modelling saddle again-visit with Rob 9 years 5 months ago #3648

Well, after a summer of serious vegetable gardening, and the usual get-it-done-before-it snows "fall rush", I hadn't "turned a wheel" since back in May... so yesterday was the usual day for a long-time small local show that always has goodies up here... first time I've even gone to a show in almost 2 years! Who has a table there, but my fellow Rdg modeler-in-Maine Rob Kenderdine, who recently moved an hour south of me and I had lost contact with. Well he had a table of goodies that could not be resisted! Of course I had to buy the all-but-painted Rdg MBr built up from the BCW kit, with trucks and decals! I'll use it for a semi-proto PRSL Train 301/308, the back-road mail and express from Cape May to Camden that always had a mix of PRR, PRSL and Rdg head end cars and coaches til the early 50's.. with a K4 pulling it, sorry to say! I have Rob's email, so I'll contact him if any of you want to say hi!

Give him my best, Mitch. We went to same same church in beautiful Perkasie, PA when we were kids.

I have an almost finished MBr that I nearly built several years ago. I need back to it.

Sorry, Doug, but I left Perkasie years ago. I've been in North Jersey for 18 years and was in Western PA for 15 years before that. How long have you been there?

Mitch: I had forgotten about your previous meeting with Bob but it's coming back to me. He's several years younger than I -- he was a friend of my best friend's little brother. I didn't know Bob was a model railroader until I saw his first article in RMC, some years after I left Perkasie.
