Happy Holidays from the Heart of the W&N

Saved this Holiday card from a long time ago.

Best Wishes to all of the Forum members.

Hugh Sinn

NJCB made an L7 in HO, and Sunset did one in O scale.

That is a L-8. For Reading identification the lack of 2 domes says its not an L-7 and the number says its a L-8se.

The real deal...

Either ways it's a nice card to hold on to!

That card has a scene that provides just one more reason the W&N would be an AWESOME modeling venture.

(So why do I do the East Penn???)

Love the card. It's always nostalgic to see any shot of a place on the Reading that I worked at. Spent many an evening at CV, and have memories of the west bound Broadway ripping across that viaduct. Made my day....by the way, the W&N lives on in Mount Penn....

Loss of mail and Railway Express Agency contracts prompts severe cuts in passenger service, including annulment of all service to Shamokin, and the Allentown-Harrisburg trains, and a reduction on remaining routes. RDCs replace most locomotive-hauled trains, freeing former passenger locomotives for freight service.
