From Hamburg:
Route 61 South to 12 West
12 West to 422 Business East
422 Business East to Interstate 176 South
Interstate 176 South to PA Turnpike EAST
PA Turnpike East to Exit 326 - King of Prussia.
Continue on 76 East to Philadelphia
Take Exit for I-676 (Vine Street Expressway)
Once on Vine Street Expressway, look for PA Convention Center Exit
Look for signs for PA Convention Center - Reading Terminal is at 12th and Market, the headhouse is now the Hard Rock Cafe/Market East station. Right across from the Marriott. Plenty of parking lots in the immediate vicinity.

Go to Reading Terminal Market and have a Roast Pork sandwich at Tommy DiNic's.

Think the train is the ticket. Let you appreciate more train. I would recommend coming in on old Reading and returning on the Norristown high speed line via 69th street /Frankford - Market St Subway. Lots of fun. The both end up at the the Norristown Transportation Center IIRC.

Have fun.

Hey... Thanks for the directions and help! Taking the train sounds like fun, but I'm on a tight schedule for Friday morning, so not sure that would work out. Have to be back in Hamburg for opening of registration at 2pm.
I've also mapped out a possible trip to Bowser and the Tunkhannock Viaduct. Might stop at Bowser on the way in... while it takes us out of the way, we should have time.

thanks again
Thanks,
Barry

Barry - you better be on the road early. Williamsport is not on the road from Hamburg to Scranton, Tunkhannock, etc. Also, Rtes 6 and 15 arew not limited access. I'd recommend Steamtown in Scranton as a good trip.
