Can someone post how you add a photo?

Thanks,

To post the picture below I:

o clicked on the "Reply Topic" button and began to write this.

o Then I clicked on the "Add File" button below the text box.

o This immediately opened Windows Explorer so I could navigate to the location of the file (or picture) I wanted to post.

o Clicking on the file attached it.

Let's see what happened.

Success!

My post shows a small box below it with a paper clip icon around a thumbnail icon of the picture. Clicking on the picture shows it in a larger, more easily-viewed format.

This is one way to do it. Some of the guys post in-line images in "Follow the Build." That is "advanced technique" for me, but someone else can comment on what they do.

Good luck with your postings.

George

Ok! I am gonna try, remember I am only an apprentice.
The way I did mine was.
1.) I opened a Photobucket account (free)limited photos.
2.) I uploaded photos from My pictures on my computer to photobucket to my library.
3.) I then opened readingmodeler on another TAB so both sites are open at the same time.
4.) I then started a reply on the forum, typing in some words.Keep it in limbo and
5.) Click tab to the already open photobucket your library
6.) click on the photo you want. on the right hand side you will see four image links.
7.) left click the IMG code (4th one down) you will see it flash copy for a second.
8.) then on your toolbar click the readingmodeler tab. you will see your reply screen still open. click enter button to bring you to the next line.
9.) then right click the mouse and you will see a list of options.
10.) click paste and a IMG code for your picture will appear. you won't see the picture, unless you click preview, but the picture will be there when you submit it. If it doesn't just delete the reply and try again.

Signed:(hoping to advance) apprentice Dan ;)

Well, I followed the instructions. . .the file name came up; clicked on "insert". . .nothing! Kept getting "fatal error." Sounds ominous. Guess I'm just an analog guy in a digital world. Thanks for your responses.
Perhaps I should email the photo to one of you who knows what your doing and post it for me?
What I wanted to post was a shot of my RDG Athearn SD45 that had the cab mod done in 1991.

Thanks,
Rick
