I'll have to try to remember to dig this out, in the stuff I take to train shows is a Robins Rails 50' PS-1 kit that's some kind of RMC Magazine commemorative (yawn as far as selling goes), but it came in a batch of stuff I bought cheap off another guy at the end of a show about two years ago.

IIRC it's a new, untouched kit, so I should be able to confirm that it includes the doors. Up in the storage unit right now in a big stack of stuff -

Haha - you can strip it, make a Reading 20000 XLj - Increasing your fleet and by eliminating one of the commemorative cars from the pool, increase the value of everyone else's commemorative car all in one shot. I hope they sent all the doors with the kit and didn't lower costs by only adding the door the kit required.

I observed two of these kits on the shelf at Railyard Hobbies in Morgantown today.

Rob - I will be happy to cast a mold if you send me the doors - PM me if you still have them available!

Bossler talks about the diagonal and X section roofs for the 1st and 2nd groups, but I can't tell from any of the photos exactly what roof was on the 3rd. From all the info presented here, the accurail car is very close for a 1st group car (if the bottom sill is made flush at the ends) .
And the Robins Rail PS1 is a very good model of a XLj(3rd), but is the roof correct on it?
