Did same work today on the coal yard piers, which are pieces of hand embossed balsa glued onto A Matboard core that I did years back. I plan to fill in the ends with adhesive caulk and blend it in while curing.

Broke out the PL and caulked the piers.
Then after a couple hours, worked it with a small screwdriver:

A while later worked in something close to mortar lines. Some sanding and such next.

After a bit of sanding, and some razor saw, and xacto work, they don't look half bad.
