My 10905 looked a little out of place for being the only 60 fter on my RDG roster so I decided to add the green schemed 19902 to go with it.I tried to find a picture of the prototype to no prevail and yes I know the Walthers models are not correct for the RDG XAPc's but it was a fun project and it fills my needs.Without a prototype picture I decaled 19902 as I thought it might be...
The unit was stripped of its CNW paint and repainted with SCII RDG green I hand painted the roof with Testor's flat steel.Weathering was added using pan pastels, decals were a mix of RDG modeler decals and MS.

Finished my LOf 79636. Looking back I painted this unit with SCII RDG green over two years ago hoping decals would be available for this unit.I decided to proceed using decals from the RDG modeler,HK and MS.The wheels were replaced using IM 33" kadee couplers added. The weathering was done with pan pastels

RDG RBa 17163 RDG#'s 17160/169 class group 10 cars
Unit was an Accurail offering that was painted in the NP scheme the factory paint was stripped using 91% isopropyl and washed. Painted with SCII RDG green, decaled with RDG modeler and MS decals. Trucks were painted with PS tarnished black 33" IM wheels received FQ railroad tie brown kadee's added. Weathered with pan pastels.
Two shots of the left side of 17160. I did not notice till it was too late that the ING migrated upward after the application of solvset so the bottom alignment is off.

RBLa RDG#'s 17000/064
Chose to model 17056 using photos as a reference. Same procedure used as with 17160. Again an Accurail model that was originally painted for the WP railroad.

Views of both units

As mentioned various photos were used for reference and as shown you can see that the banner was applied higher to the car side on 17160 as compared to 17056. 056 also received the yellow application to the stirrups and grabs were as 160 did not.

Again another fun project were more time was spent selecting and cutting decals to finish both cars.

Had this P2K caboose in storage for years. My plan was to strip and repaint into the green and yellow scheme but decided to leave it red and apply several washes of grime.

I received two Atlas undecorated 50 ft'ers this past Christmas and at first was going to apply WM colors but decided on RDG XMLg's. The cars are not prototypically correct for the RDG model but to my knowledge the correct model is not available. Both units were painted with SCII RDG green RDG modeler and HK decals and just some light weathering. The first completed model is the 807.

The second completed car was 805. The REA and the ING on the banner are HK decals while the D on the door is from the RDG modeler set.

I was glad I did these cars because the HK decals were quite old and some what difficult to apply.
Yes, the sliding doors work perfectly
