Thanks for all of the info The NYC picture is definately the type of containers I was thinking of I model cica 1960 but if something I like is a few years off I'm all for it, I dont have a layout but I am a member of a club where about anything is welcome,

For those wanting to model HO scale "Air Activated" cement canisters the round Athearn container is very suitable for these cars. As far as I know the NYC, Lehigh Valley, D&H, and Lackawanna all used this type of car. A few years ago Mainline Modeler did a spread which contained this mode of L.C.L. service I don't remember which issue. Another great resource is Flags, Diamonds, and Statues Vol. 10 No.3, has the Lackawanna, and LV prototypes. As for models, Red Ball #4350 did the D&H version, and Shortline Products did a decal set I think for the NYC, and DL&W. If you wish to do the LV, Dan Hicks Trains of Allentown does an excellent set of decals for canisters and gondola for the LV. I hope this helps moving time sensitive freight, Bill.
