Reading used containers for FerroManganese Ore from Sheridan and Coke from Philadelphia. I have never seen anything regarding cement containers. I only ever saw the open top, drop bottom containers.

If you have access to an Official Railway Equipment Register they are usually pointed out in the notes as to what car and what commodity they are restricted to. Try to get one for about the year you are modeling. If you don't have one. Some people on ebay sell copies on CD's that you can purchase.

Thanks alot, I'll look for one. I found a website that has a bunch of ORER's for anthracite roads but not for the Reading. (go figure) The Lehigh Valley lists them as gondolas with air activated containers. I dont know if they were used for anything other than cement.

What time frame do you model the RDG? I have some ORER's. If Tom will let me. I can scan them and place the ORER here on the RDG Modeler!
