1975 Reading Company Freight Schedule
By 1975 the Reading was in bankruptcy, and had faced a significant loss of interchange traffic with the New York Central at Newberry Junction as a result of the Penn Central merger. Nevertheless, the Reading soldiered on in its waning years to the formation of Conrail on April 1, 1976. We're pleased to provide a scanned copy of the official Reading Company Freight Schedule effective June 1, 1975, provided courtesy of the Reading Company Technical & Historical Society archives. In the interest of bringing this to you quickly, we've simply scanned and made available as a PDF at this time, as opposed to a detailed page-by-page view with animations as we did with the original 1970 Reading Company Freight Schedule article. If time permits in the future, we'll do that. In the interim, please click here to download a copy of the 1975 Freight Schedule!
