This is my first attempt at kitbashing a steam locomotive. The shell is an older Bachmann model that's going onto a Spectrum drive. I've been inspired watching Casey knock out all his great models for a few years now, and finally got the nerve to get started on what i hope is a fairly achievable conversion. So after chiseling for a while i took a photo break once the inevitable thumb stabbing finally happened.

MrBill OFFLINE Conductor Posts: 169 Thank you received: 31	Thanks for mentioning the firebox length difference. I hadn't dug out any drawings yet, and forgot they had the steam list on the alphabet route. Having looked at lots of various pics of the M-1's, I know i'll have to make a few compromises to be able to utilize the Bachmann shell, but it's easier than scratching it. So i got the smokebox cut off, and the engineer's side started today.
