This board is the place where questions and information specific to MODELING the Reading Company, its equipment and operations can be shared - questions like "What was the window arrangement of AF Tower in Alburtis?" and "What color paint do YOU use to paint the Reading's cream-and-brown buildings?" We also want to hear about YOUR Reading modeling projects!

My glacial modeling pace picked up a bit this week. The 2 center tracks in the foreground got shimmed and glued down. This area had been all boogered up from track changes, and took some doing to get leveled out. So just the coal trestle and oil siding to go as far as track completion. I think a bulk oil depot / gas station scene will be going in by the street underpass in back of the semi truck down there.

I did some actual Work recently and ballasted most of the track in the above photo. Then this week I went down to iron horse to support my LHS, and got these. Athearn mill gon, and bowser H-30 hopper, the detail on which is astounding. The mill gon has always symbolized the Reading for me since seeing them in the Reading yard when I was little.

Nice work, Bill. I bought a grey circle keystone H30 too. It's a great model!

Did some drafting and cutting on a new industrial building flat. Gotta soak up about 10 feet of backdrop with flats. Need lots of spotting locations.
