Interesting enough, that looks like the auxiliary used today by the R&N, and was part of the conversions that rode behind the I-10's in the day. Thank you for posting that neat shot!

this was a fantrip from Pittsburgh to Altoona in Oct.1976,and yes that is George Harts auxiliary tender,some of his cars were used also. they took 2102 off the train at Galitzan, and turned her on the wye, the SD-45 was the pilot engine to take her to Altoona to rejoin the train. there was a cover photo on TRAINS magazine of the trip back then. I will see if I can post it here, later when I get home from work.

Here is the TRAINS cover photo. You can see the Reading MU trailers in the train in the background. you can't tell there is a SD-45 helper behind her.

The big steel bridge. Above Wyomissing Jct, at what I used to call the 'penalty box' I have quite a few shots here when the construction began.

"Penalty Box" has a nice ring to it. Why would you call it that?

Charts for O'Hare Airport in Chicago had a parking area off one of the taxiways called the "Penalty Box." I can only imagine the conversation between controllers and pilots leading to its use!

I agree pictures of the bridge and surrounding area would be nice to see.
