It was a great weekend all around - sorry that I couldn't stay for the clinics, but it was great to meet everyone from the site and talk model railroading for a few hours. It was especially great to see so many fantastic Reading models and to find out how they were built. I came away with a bunch of pictures and ideas for my own modeling. I hope everyone that was there enjoyed all aspects of the event.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the event, whether by presenting, publicizing, or just helping out, and also to the RCTHS for their sponsorship and assistance. An especially big thanks to Barry for his unwavering optimism and commitment to pulling the event off. I'm looking forward to next year's event already!

I'm glad the meet went well. Unfortunately, I was unable to make it because of Oktoberfest at the Liederkranz.

Are there any plans to post some pictures of the models that were displayed, perhaps in an album?

I heard the Oktoberfest at the Liederkranz was a zoo. Really big crowd, long lines and the beer was more expensive than it should have been, but balanced out by the fact it took so long to get refills.... oh yeah and realllllly warm temperatures. But I wasn't at either so what do I know.. I was sweating my.... well sweating thru a parade in Temple with the Buccaneers with my bugle.

Sounds like the RRMM I was a better deal.

Barry and company, along with the RCTHS did a great job pulling the meet together. I didn't hesitate to volunteer for another clinic next year. Maybe Tom will have another new rolling stock model that will sell out at that meet.

Photos of the new F&C boxcar kits would be nice too. Were these available for purchase or just on display?

No new F&C kit from what I recall. I have several photos that I plan to post in the Photos section. If any other attendees have photos, please send to me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we'll get them posted.

Already have several ideas for some new products as a result of the meet...

Thanks,
Tom
