TOPIC: Reading Steam Locomotive Decals

Reading Steam Locomotive Decals 9 years 2 months ago #4193

I am new to the website and have new interest in the Reading Lines. I have read through many of the posts here looking for info on Reading decals for steam locomotives. I see they are rare and can be rather costly. But, I have also notice there seems to be a work around using a decal set From Microscale, I think? I have only seen it referenced as the "green sheet". Can anyone supply the part number? Is it the same as the Green & Black scheme that Microscale offers?

Also, is there a solution for the pin striping around the tenders and the cab numbers?

Any info is appreciated,

Thanks, Mark

the Microscale set #87-691 is for Reading green diesels it does the olive green and the newest all green diesels. the numbers and the "READING" from the olive green can be used for Reading steam locomotives, except the T-1,K-1, and the G-3. which had larger roman style lettering. it retails for $8.00 a set. Thanks for the reply. I have recently received an old Mantua Reading Pacific that I want to try to bring back to life. I think there suppose to replicate a G-1 or G-2.
