This board is the place where questions and information specific to MODELING the Reading Company, its equipment and operations can be shared - questions like "What was the window arrangement of AF Tower in Alburtis?" and "What color paint do YOU use to paint the Reading's cream-and-brown buildings?" We also want to hear about YOUR Reading modeling projects!

Maybe some here knew of famous Reading S Scaler Frank Titman. Frank passed a few months back. His Spiral Hill layout was liquidated in August 2013.

I have acquired some of his models at that time and even more since. It is an effort to get more "R" in my PRSL.

My latest is a friend built me a G1sb. I am building the tender. I also got a P7 built by Frank at some point. The Reading will have a rather significant presence at least in steam. No diesels yet.

Frank was the master at starting with the cab and firebox of an American Flyer plastic boiler and filling out the rest with mostly all brass loco.

Welcome to this Reading site Bill.
Glad to have another S scale modeler in the ranks.
You are a little more advanced than I.
But I am the caretaker of these two S scale engines.
And, Yes , they are both originally from Frank's collection.
2107 has a new motor and gearing, along with DCC and sound.
218 is getting a new motor and gearing, and some day DCC and sound.

Steam on.
