This board is the place where questions and information specific to MODELING the Reading Company, its equipment and operations can be shared - questions like "What was the window arrangement of AF Tower in Alburtis?" and "What color paint do YOU use to paint the Reading's cream-and-brown buildings?" We also want to hear about YOUR Reading modeling projects!

This took a few laps with the Reading train about 9:00 tonight. I am going to have LED headlights front and back. But the decoder install is very quick n dirty. Only 1 tender truck is currently providing power pickup. The tender floor is the largest single 3D printed item I have made and used so far.

I am on a Reading binge! I bought a Reading book and am eyeing another one....

Mr. Lane, I just recognized the layout, welcome! I've been to your site pretty regularly over the years. Between modelling in S, and specializing in PRSL roads, you've got quite the interesting franchise going on there. I like the way you fixed those turnout frogs. Plus congrats on being able to learn how to do 3d printing design. Amazing stuff.

I have been doing 3D design mostly of train parts for me for about 8 years - BECAUSE I am in S Scale, and no one else is ever going to make them for me. It is the 3D printing I have been doing for about 5 months now. There is nothing like having complete control over your modeling. It is then not about just counting rivets, but where YOU put them!
