I currently have a Bachmann Dynamis system from my last layout which I got at a good price of about $125. I'm planning a new layout and I'm curious to what others are using and/or recommend. I went with the Dynamis system because of the wireless connection, it works for the most part, but I did run into issues of where to place the receiver and not have it blocked from the controller. My body would sometimes block out the receiver as I walked around. I look forward to any suggestions as to which system to stay or go with that is at a reasonably affordable price. Thanks!

I would not consider it to be in the "good price" category but I am NCE all the way here. I am all wireless as well. (this is an old photo) The recommended placement for the base antenna is in the center of the ceiling of the train room. Mine is sitting on top of the rest of my power system under the layout.

I have "run my trains" up a flight of steps and through a block wall from my shop 20+ feet away without issues. It has never once lost signal or connection. The response is just as good as corded handles.

Finally - I LIKE the big handles. One button does 1 thing most of the time.

as far as decoders for in the units. any brand decoder should work with any DCC system. the model R.R. club and HO modular group that I am involved with uses Digitrax. we have used it on a 38 ft by 50 ft. modular setup at Greenberg shows here in the PA. N.J. area.
