This is a recent eBay win. I stumbled across a John Hall completed listing with many of the same photos. When Ted Colutta offered them recently I went in pretty heavy. I have 1 built by John or his father Richard.
These photos just further my astonishment at the effort and MONEY the Reading spent on re-purposing. it is a boxcar not a hopper car!  My first thought that this car was for bulk green beans but a S friend suggested it could be for cocoa beans for Hershey. Maybe someone here knows.       |
