The long awaited Pennsy "boxcabs" came three weeks ago. Last Thursday evening they were put to the test on a friend's layout under catenary. While not using the overhead for power, a passenger and a freight unit ran flawlessly. Both unit's pantographs, after a few minutes of running plus a touch of dry lube, performed very nicely. Each loco walked off with a thirty car train. In short, the wait for these units was well worth it. The Pennsy power roster for the main line interchanges with the Reading on the Poor Richards Line is now complete. :) The next day went back to work on the helix (I don't like and did not want a helix.) that will connect the three levels and also two port scenes.
