After frequently relocating, tripping over and swearing an oath to dispose of thirty years worth of model railroad and railroad magazines, this is happening. Rules of disposal: 1) Only the issue's index may be used to select articles worthy of saving. NO page flipping allowed - period!, 2) Once articles are removed, page flipping is still strictly forbidden!, 3) Time allowed to process an issue is ninety seconds or less. If not completed by then, the issue goes in the trash can. 4) Time management practices will be employed to limit this work to no more than one hour per barn session. This time there is no doing it later. This will free up storage room and floor space. Not to mention eliminating the pain incurred after tripping over a repo box full of magazines. What is an immovable force? A repo box stuffed full of magazines.

Nope, I am doing the same and I am a page flipper.... I did just send all the Model Railroaders that are electronically covered in the 75 years CD. several years ago, however I have just pounded through about 35 years of RMC and ripped out and kept anything that caught my interest. I did keep a few "special issues.' Next up Model Railroading. I do about two years at a shot. Then I'll hit some of the strays that cropped up and filtered in like model Railroad Journal or is it RMJ?? whatever

I also vow to scan those collected pages and file them electronically one day...… down the road.

I am having trouble parting with my almost complete set of Mainline Modeler. I really enjoyed that and truly miss it.

Having a blast indexing my Reading Books into an excel sheet listing road number, reporting marks (as some worthy foreign stuff does show up) builder, model, class, location, book name, page and remarks (any peculiar info). I just got tired of saying I saw a picture of that somewhere in this shelf full of books and decided at some point the time spent doing this would balance out from the tie spent looking for things.
