I thought that all the passenger equipment was painted the same green. pullman or olive green. I've heard some people call it army green. the 2 tone green scheme came in when they started to add air conditioning to the cars. the lighter green was either forrest green or hunter green. the olive green diesels were supposed to be the same paint as the passenger cars. I would think that the RCT&HS would have this info, since they painted their NW-2, and several Blueliners in the 2 tone green paint.

A batch of Pullman Green paint produced in 1950 was probably not exactly the same as a batch produced in the mid '60's and certainly wouldn't match the paint used by the RR Museum of PA or the RCT&HS. Remember, the paint solvents used these days are no where near the solvents in 1950's or 60's enamels.

Also, as has been written before, light varies by time of day and season of year as do effects from weathering.

Which model paints do you guys figure match it best? I have about three of the body shells painted, but i can always put a new coat of paint on.

I use SC2 Pullman Green on locomotives. My last paint job, I diluted with a little yellow (CNW or Reefer Yellow) to lighten the green a little. The straignt Pullman Green looks great for a fresh unit. I tried darkening Coach Green, but the results didn't really impress me.

Did IHP supply truck side frames for the project?
If so were they the Taylor trucks?
