What's the difference between a GP40-2 and GP39-2? What year did the Reading dieselize? How many tracks were in Rutherford Yard? This board focuses on a discussion of questions or issues concerning the "prototype" Reading Company and its predecessors. While the aim of this board is to serve as a resource for prototype information for modeling purposes, general discussion and sharing of knowledge is also encouraged.

I doubt they had line trucks in the 1940's and the fuel trucks were something that began in the let 1950's.

OK... stopped by the local mom-pop hobby store and found a ford C cab box truck to make that MoW truck found on the last page!

Also found a package of the Magasun solid cast Ford Econoline vans! Yes, the same one's I used to make the two MoW vans!!

I don't need more, but couldn't pass these up... anyone want/need them? Will part with them for a decent price!
Thanks,
Barry

Anyone seen the latest add in Model Railroader for Classic Metal Works? There is a photo of a 1960's style Ford truck grill and a mention of new things to come. So could we be seeing in the near future those trucks we need to model the RDG Co and RTCO trucks?

yes... have seen the ad and wondering what they will be offering! Since I model 1970, just about anything they make, I may have to buy! yikes!
Thanks,
Barry

I have been in communication with Classic Metal Works, providing them with photos of the Readings Fords.... They have expressed interest. I will keep ya'll updated as I learn their plans.....Over the years I have had some interesting conversations with them and they seem to have heeded my advice on a couple of matters....
