What's the difference between a GP40-2 and GP39-2? What year did the Reading dieselize? How many tracks were in Rutherford Yard? This board focuses on a discussion of questions or issues concerning the "prototype" Reading Company and its predecessors. While the aim of this board is to serve as a resource for prototype information for modeling purposes, general discussion and sharing of knowledge is also encouraged.

I would like to rehash an old topic. RDG's rubber tire division. Anyone find more photo's or information please post it here.

I have a set of truck photo's from the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles. You can visit their web page at boyertownmuseum.org/. (BTW you should check out their Museum sometime. It is something to see).

They emailed me some photo's of a RDG Maintenance Truck that was built by Boyertown Body Works. It is truck number 26. I also have seen truck numbers 48 and 40 that were also built at Boyertown. Are there any others?

Also on Berks County TV there was an episode about the Boyertown Museum. In that episode there was a slideshow on the Boyertown Body Works. Several photo's that depict how they shipped their product on the RDG RR.
