What's the difference between a GP40-2 and GP39-2? What year did the Reading dieselize? How many tracks were in Rutherford Yard? This board focuses on a discussion of questions or issues concerning the "prototype" Reading Company and its predecessors. While the aim of this board is to serve as a resource for prototype information for modeling purposes, general discussion and sharing of knowledge is also encouraged.

Great pics, brings back memories of seeing some of these parked by the old freight station in Minersville Pa.when the crews were performing track maintanence.

Not to change the subject, but does any one have pics of the RDG tran.tractor and trailer trucks?

Chris, truck tractors were blue, but I haven't located any photos, yet. If you can find a copy of the 1964, Annual report, there is a truck and trailer on the cover. Trailers were aluminum skinned, with a blue "Reading" diamond. I have some photos that include trailers which I'll try to post later.

Also, here is another M-O-W truck.

hmmmm... looks like that may have made it to 1970. May have to try to model that.
Thanks,
Barry

John, The White can be modeled in HO using a sylvan models kit. And of course athearn or the older metal leetown for the Mack. But where can we get the door decals? Good one for Tom's list of decals
