What's the difference between a GP40-2 and GP39-2? What year did the Reading dieselize? How many tracks were in Rutherford Yard? This board focuses on a discussion of questions or issues concerning the "prototype" Reading Company and its predecessors. While the aim of this board is to serve as a resource for prototype information for modeling purposes, general discussion and sharing of knowledge is also encouraged.

I posted to this thread a photo of the door decal. Get some blank decal paper that will work for your computers printer. Scale it to size (I use Microsoft Paint program to scale it) and print. That is how I make mine.

John, The White can be modeled in HO using a sylvan models kit. And of course athearn or the older metal leetown for the Mack. But where can we get the door decals? Good one for Tom's list of decals

John, the thought crossed my mind about doing just that and totally forgeting that you did post the door art. I was gonna scan one off a slide I have. I never tried the decal paper but such a small sign could be printed photo paper and cut down too. but the thickness would have to be sanded down on the back side before glueing on.

Up for bids on Ebay is a slide of a RDG CO Hi rail truck. Auction # 111048394370. I am not the seller. I just thought you would like to see it.

Did Reading have any MoW vehicles back during the 40s or 50s?

Yes they did. At least I'm sure of the 1950's. They were a dark green with white lettering. A small RDG hollow diamond on the door. Also the division assignment on the side, below the diamond.

When I say dark green it is just that. What ever stock green the manufacturer used. So a Ford was a different shade of green then the International Harvester, Or Mack, etc.
