HELLO... I did some kibitzing at the NMRA National Train Show in Cleveland and I believe we'll have another 2-4 donators for door prizes for the READING RAILROAD MODELERS MEET II! Talked to BLMA, TCS-WOW decoders, Chooch and up to 4 others. Also stopped in on those that already donated and Thanked them for their donations.

Today, received the donation of 2 nice Reading RR hats from sponsor DAYLIGHT SALES (www.daylightsales.com) and about 2 weeks ago received a HO scale Reading caboose from Bachmann. Kato has also sent in their donation - an N scale Reading Heritage locomotive!!

More news as we get it! Have YOU registered yet??
Thanks,
Barry

HI Hugh... very nice looking - thanks for registering and looking forward to seeing your loco at the MEET-II!

NEW NEWS.....
Reading Modeler main-man Tom Jacobs will be doing a clinic on layout planning on Saturday afternoon 2:15pm. We have ONE more clinic spot open! Any takers??

MORE door prizes have come in! While attending the NMRA National Train Show in Cleveland, we reached out to several more manufacturers and a few have come through!
Model Railroader Magazine has sent two free subscriptions!
Woodland Scenics has sent a new road making kit!
TCS has sent a WOW DCC decoder!
Attending the MEET-II may be "free" depending on which door prize you may win!

I have also made contact with the Reading Society of model engineers and the Schuylkill and Lehigh Railroad Club in nearby Kempton to see if they will fill out the layout tour schedule.
Thanks,
Barry

Has anyone contacted the North-Penn O-gaugers to see if they'd be interested in displaying their modular O-gauge layout at the meet? Although not exclusively Reading it's very Reading-heavy in design and execution.

HI Wowak... thanks for the link and info. I will try to keep this info for a future event. For this year, they are a bit far away from our other two layouts to use them as a third layout for Saturday night.

Being a modular layout is nice, but I don't know where we could have them set-up - perhaps the school.

THANKS again for the info! Again, will keep it for future reference!!
cool!
Thanks,
Barry

SEPTEMBER 2014
Hello! We’ve received yet another door prize from a new sponsor – a $50 gift certificate from Broadway Limited! And the good news continues as we have the Schuylkill & Lehigh Model RR club joining us for layout tours on Friday! YES, we are only a month away, so please get your registrations in. You CAN register at the door either Friday or Saturday, however, you will miss the chance to purchase an event t-shirt and a great lunch! Speaking of registrations, we’re about the same as this time last year. We’re really hoping for an increase and hope YOU will register for our event! I don’t know if we’ll get another website update before the MEET-II, so in case we don’t, I hope to see you in a few weeks!!
