Yeah, that's a foobie. The only Rdg 4 bays were the rib sided HTl/n's The HTv's were 2 bay offsets. Nice lettering though. The only road I know that had 4 bay offsets was the B&O.

To build on Mr. Bill's comments, Reading's HTv class were offset side twin hoppers, a rather large series that ran from 82000 through 89000.

the offset 4 bay hoppers were a development of the 20's-B&O, C&O and the Erie had them-Pennypacker's book has a pic of one on a train at Locust Summit in the 50's. B&M had them for stone service and some were sold second hand to the New Haven as well. MP had some and were sold to the KO&G, a connecting carrier, in the late 50's. AHM had them in the billboard KOG scheme for years and they are the only prototypical scheme offered except for Athearn's B&O scheme. The B&M never painted them blue even though they had them...

Thanks for the extra background info Mitch. I've always wondered who all actually had those quads. It seems like The model mfrs have been stamping every name in the book on them forever. A couple of the nicer ones I've acquired which are probably foobs as well are for the EJ&E and CB&Q. Do you know if they might possibly be correct? Also, I saw a model of a B&M in black with white lettering, which I think is correct? Looks more plausible than the blue ones anyway.
