Thanks Riggelwag.

Butch, to reply on the article movement, that's up to Tom. Tom wanted my builds to go to the article section, but I thought it would be best to add a build section in the forum and this what Tom came up with. When you do an article as it's suppose to be done, there's no interaction, it's a "here it is type of thing" like you see in the mags. The great thing about a forum, it allows modelers to go deep into their builds with good description and no editor butchering the article to fit his allocation of pages.

I know that I probably left out any reason to ask questions, but I would hope if there were some questions, someone would ask them. There's no reason for anyone to feel that they're asking a stupid question. That's what these builds are about, asking and learning. So I hope I answered that the right way. The model has been completed, I just have to wrap it up here and move on to the SW1200m. :cheer:

Fantastic build. I learned a lot, and I've been doing HO bashes for 40 years. The comments from everybody were good and informative, too. It's great that you shared all this. Except, now it raises the bar for my modeling.......This should get transferred to the articles section, it would be a little easier to look up when referencing a portion of it. Again, excellent work.

Gang,

With regard to the comment about moving the build info to an article - Ron's info is correct - we agreed to keep it as a thread in the Forum. I had wanted to have this info as an article, but this experience has convinced me that the dialogue element of a Forum thread has merit. So, we'll leave it here for the time being.

I'm replying here because I'm trying to get back on track (no pun intended) with making some website updates - you may notice a bunch of new photos in the Freight rolling stock reference section, and I have some ORERs courtesy of William Dale that are in the process of being scanned. There's also a ton of photos that still need to get uploaded. We'll get there - I promise - I've just been ridiculously busy at work and at home these past several months, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel (again, no pun intended). I'd like to experiement with "lifting and loading" Ron's Forum posts on the SD45 build to "convert" them into an article to house it in the Articles section, but that will take some time. For now, I think keeping these in the Forum has the most value for the community at large.

Thanks and Stay tuned...
Tom
