Well, a year in half later with allot of thinking, I finally was able to kitbash a RDG phase 1c. Looking at the pic of the model, it's in it's mock up stage. Still some minor tweaking to do before I weld the body parts together. But I just wanted to share here what I was finally able to get accomplished here. I write about this bash sometime in the future.

Nice - would love to see it. Would also love to see the SW1200m build completed!

Ron...looking forward to your future write up on this model and as the story goes once you complete the project some manufacturer will offer the model in their line of products.
Either way it will be a win win.

Chris, I know that's going to happen but I'm ok with it. I only wanted one anyway. But if someone makes the model and it looks real good, I'll buy a second as long as it looks good.

Tom, I'm on it.

Wouldn't worry about anyone manufacturing this model in the Phase I version as the prototype was a limited production with most roads opting to wait for the upgraded Phase II model. In short, not enough model market. The Phase I offering looked more 28C than 30C

Yours is a much nicer model than the Model Power U28C with a Thinwall cab kit added. Await the debut of your finished model.

There is chatter over on the Atlas Rescue Forum about Atlas “maybe” retooling their U30C, but like HoboPiker stated above, a phase 1 isn’t likely given the low production numbers of the prototype. You can never say “never” though. After all, we got an accurate C430 model and many in the hobby said that would “never” happen.

Great work so far Ron.

Thanks, Mark
