Inspiring work! I've got one of these in progress, and I was wondering what you used to upgrade the handbrake?

Thanks for the compliment,

The Hand brake was made using a left over part from Cannon & Company EMD nose kit. The difference between the EMD brake and the Alco version is only related to which side the hand ratchet is. I just filled the right side of the housing with styrene .010 x .060 and mounted the hand ratchet on the left side. I made a mounting plate from styrene .010 x .080 and the chain guide was made from .035 rod.
