How do the cars look on this set? I have seen a car only offer on E-Bay, which would make sense with my FP7s.

Thanks.

The cars themselves look beautiful. The interior illumination and markers are well done.
If your layout has super-elevated curves like mine, the cars might derail. There are pins on the body bolsters at the 9:00 and 3:00 positions where the car sets on the truck bolster. It makes the car totally rigid, and reduces greatly the play in the trucks.

I agree about quality of the cars. They are as good as it gets in plastic models. You would not be disappointed.

The topic heading for The Crusader should actually be changed. Its made by GHB, not Con-Cor.

The shop crew has just readied sister engine #119 to pull the crusader since #117 has broke down. Engine #119 holds a speed record so making up time should not be a problem.

FYI--I don't go on the Con-Cor website very often but somehow ended up there today. The have a limited number of the 5-car Crusader passenger car sets (cars only, no locomotive) for $299.99, shipping included. Given the positive reviews of the cars on this forum, I thought this was a pretty good deal for us diesel era guys. My order went in a few minutes ago>

BTW--Were the Crusader car trucks really blue?

Have a Happy Holiday Season!--Dave
